Stranraer Oyster Festival takes place this weekend

After a significant break, it is fantastic to see Stranraer Oyster Festival back. From 2nd-4th September, Stranraer Development Trust are bringing top chefs, inspiring speakers, amazing entertainers and leading oyster experts together for a fabulous seafood celebration on the shores of Loch Ryan.

There's a huge amount to see, and enjoy, over three fantastic days; celebrity chef demos, competitions, children’s entertainment, live music and a bustling festival market crammed with traders selling their excellent locally produced food and drink, stylish arts and craftwork.

The festival also hosts the Scottish Oyster Shucking Championship competition, which attracts chefs from all over Scotland to compete against the clock to be the fastest oyster shucker in the country!

It's a fantastic weekend, not to be missed, so make sure you get down to Stranraer this weekend.
