TVYP members performing at an open mic night earlier this year.

If you're aged 12-17 and are looking for somewhere to rehearse or practice, or you just want to meet like-minded musicians and performing artists, then get along to The Vault Arts Centre on Wednesday's from 4pm-6pm and utilise the fantastic facilities available at the centre.

The Vault Youth Project (TVYP) rehearsal space at The Vault Arts Centre gives TVYP members the opportunity to come in and use the professional facilities at the centre including:

  • 16-channel PA System
  • Lighting
  • Stage
  • Multi-Cam Recording & Livestreaming
  • Musical instruments (guitars, piano, bass, drums, keyboard)

This will be run in two blocks initially, with further announcements made for Spring 2021:

  • 2nd December 2020 - 23rd December 2020
  • 6th January 2021 - 24th February 2021

If you'd like to get involved with TVYP simply e-mail Youth Project Worker, Rhona Jones, at rhona@tradmusic.com or call 01671 404924 (during office hours) / 07970 359 557 (outwith office hours).

Due to Covid-19, we cannot allow under 18's to mix with over 18's so the Wednesday group is open to 12-17 year olds only.

Outstanding sponsorship support from Five Kingdoms Brewery

Serving local produce ensures that the project supports local businesses and the local community. A huge favourite are the beers from Five Kingdoms Brewery which are brewed in Isle of Whithorn. We are hugely grateful to Alastair and his team for their very generous support for this year's festival.

Workshops at this year's festival

With so many outstanding musicians in Newton Stewart this weekend it would be foolish not to take full advantage, and we've done just that with a superb programme of traditional music workshops which are included as part of the Weekend Pass ticket, £10 per adult or £Free for under 25s.
