Key Worker Discount for 2021

Thank you x

As a thank you to everyone who is working on the front line to protect and support us all during the Coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis, Trad Music Trust would like to offer a 50% discount on Weekend Passes for Key Workers for next year's festival over 9th-11th July 2021.

Whilst we may have had to close The Vault Arts Centre and cancel this year's Newton Stewart & Minnigaff Traditional Music & Dance Festival, it pales into insignificance when you consider the extreme conditions under which our NHS and front line key workers are having to work just now.

We are hugely grateful for your professionalism, commitment and support at this time and hope that we can offer some relief next July and the chance to relax and unwind with some fantastic music, dance and entertainment in this beautiful part of Scotland.

The discount will be available to all NHS staff, health and social care workers, emergency services, key public services, shop assistants and anyone who works to deliver and distribute food and other neccessary goods.

Weekend Pass tickets for 2021 are on sale now.  Simply click the button below and select the 'Key Worker Discount' ticket type.

Thank you.

We are hugely grateful to Alastair and his team for their very generous support for this year's festival.

Workshops at this year's festival

With so many outstanding musicians in Newton Stewart this weekend it would be foolish not to take full advantage, and we've done just that with a superb programme of traditional music workshops which are included as part of the Weekend Pass ticket, £10 per adult or £Free for under 25s.

Highland dancing competition unable to go ahead this year

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the postponement of this year's Highland dancing competition at Newton Stewart & Minnigaff Traditional Music & Dance Festival. Continued funding cuts have meant some very difficult decisions have had to be made, however we do hope to bring this back in 2025.
