The proposed site for the new arts centre in Newton Stewart

Thanks to the wonderful generosity and support shown by local businesses and the local community, we are very pleased to announce that we have just reached 10% of our fundraising target for the proposed new arts centre in Newton Stewart with the total now standing at £1,509.29.

Since launching the fundraising campaign in March we have had fundraising concerts, hugely generous donations from individuals and even an auction for a Hohner melodeon!

This weekend sees another fundraising event taking place at the McMillan Hall, Newton Stewart, in the form of a table top sale with tables still available - the perfect opportunity for a Spring clearout - at just £10.00 per table.

You can donate online by clicking the link below or we are happy to accept donations by phone or in person by simply calling 01671 404924 or e-mailing festival@tradmusic.com.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported the project so far.  With your support, we're aiming to reach 25% of our target by the end of May and we have a range of events coming up including live music performances throughout the region and a duathlon!  :S

Outstanding sponsorship support from Five Kingdoms Brewery

Serving local produce ensures that the project supports local businesses and the local community. A huge favourite are the beers from Five Kingdoms Brewery which are brewed in Isle of Whithorn. We are hugely grateful to Alastair and his team for their very generous support for this year's festival.

Workshops at this year's festival

With so many outstanding musicians in Newton Stewart this weekend it would be foolish not to take full advantage, and we've done just that with a superb programme of traditional music workshops which are included as part of the Weekend Pass ticket, £10 per adult or £Free for under 25s.
