Girvan Traditional Folk Festival 2026
51 years of traditional music, arts and culture in Southwest Scotland, and with a line-up that includes Tim Edey, Robyn Stapleton, Maggie MacInnes, Caoimhin O Raghallaigh & Mick O'Brien, Len Graham, Alan Reid, Janice Burns & Jon Doran, and many more, 2026 is one not to be missed! Save the date!
Girvan Traditional Folk Festival has been instrumental in the development, support and promotion of Scottish traditional music in Scotland, and particularly so in the Southwest of Scotland which is so often overlooked when it comes to support for traditional music projects.
Towards the end of 2025 organisers of the Summer Trad Festival in Newton Stewart, which will celebrate its 13th year in 2026, and Girvan Traditional Music Festival collaborated on a joint application to Creative Scotland's Expanding Festivals Fund which, if successful, will be transformative for both events and ensure the long-term future of traditional music in Southwest Scotland.
For now, both festivals are cracking on with their respective plans for this year's events so whether it’s your first, 13th or 51st time, you’ll find the finest in folk & traditional music in beautiful South West Scotland this Spring/Summer.
