Girvan Traditional Folk Festival

It's the fantastic Girvan Traditional Folk Festival this weekend - 28th-30th April 2023 - and another amazing lineup of traditional music and song featuring the very best in traditional music. Concerts, session trail, workshops, storytelling, talks, instrument makers fair, family events and more.

Girvan is one of those folk festivals that almost everyone has attended at one time or another, and for good reason.  Fabulous concerts, workshops and sessions all weekend, with the backdrop of Ailsa Craig and the warm welcome and hospitality of South West Scotland.

This year's Girvan Traditional Folk Festival features Robyn Stapleton, Fred Morrison & Ali Hutton, Paul McKenna Band, Jo Miller, Neil Sutcliffe, Alistair McCulloch & Marc Duff, Harta, Muldoon’s Picnic, Davie Anderson, Binky Blue, Thomas MacDonald & Friends, Bea Clark, Kin and the Strandline Singers.

Don't miss it!

Outstanding sponsorship support from Five Kingdoms Brewery

Serving local produce ensures that the project supports local businesses and the local community. A huge favourite are the beers from Five Kingdoms Brewery which are brewed in Isle of Whithorn. We are hugely grateful to Alastair and his team for their very generous support for this year's festival.

Workshops at this year's festival

With so many outstanding musicians in Newton Stewart this weekend it would be foolish not to take full advantage, and we've done just that with a superb programme of traditional music workshops which are included as part of the Weekend Pass ticket, £10 per adult or £Free for under 25s.
