Green Arts Initiative

Trad Music Trust is committed to improving its environmental efforts and to reducing its carbon footprint and, to that end, has recently joined the Green Arts Initiative. We report back to the Green Arts Initiative on the efforts we've made and look at what else we can do to improve year on year.

All organisations that join the network nominate a member of staff as their Green Champion, who is the main point of contact within the Green Arts Initiative.

They also make the following two commitments:

  • We will strive to improve our environmental efforts each year
  • We will complete the annual feedback form on the environmental action we’ve taken each year

Run by Creative Carbon Scotland, with oversight and support from a steering group of Green Arts members, it operates by:

  • supporting the sharing of relevant knowledge, ideas and experiences
  • enhancing the sustainability competencies of arts organisations across the country
