The Vault Arts Centre

The Vault Arts Centre is an exciting new music, arts, culture and heritage venue run by the Trad Music Trust charity to support the puposes of the organisation and the annual Newton Stewart & Minnigaff Traditional Music & Dance Festival as well as providing vital office space for the organisation and festival teams.

Come and join Sarah for a taster session in Irish flute/whistle. In her class you'll cover the basics including breath technique, finger placement, embouchure as well as tone and phrasing.

Location

The Vault Arts Centre is situated in the heart of Newton Stewart, on the town's busy Victoria Street, between Boots Chemist and the Avocet shop.

Access & Parking

Whilst parking is available on Victoria Street, we encourage visitors to park at the Riverside Car Park on Riverside Road which is a short walking distance from the venue. We have private parking and ramp access to the building.

Trad Music Trust

The 8th annual Newton Stewart & Minnigaff Traditional Music & Dance Festival will take place over the 8th-10th July 2022 and it's a HUGE comeback event featuring, as ever, the very best in traditional music & dance. The Sarah Markey Band, Damien O'Kane & Ron Block Band with Michael McGoldrick, Megan Nic Fhionnghaile, Malin Makes Music, John McSherry & Francis McIlduff, Heather Cartwright, Mairi McGillivray and Blue Rose Code (trio)!! It's going to be another incredible weekend.
